FRANK RINN erhielt mehrere Auszeichnungen für seine Forschungen, Erfindungen und Entwicklungen im Bereich der "RESISTOGRAPH®" Nadel-Bohrwiderstandsmessung sowie anderer Methoden für die Baum- und Holzuntersuchung sowie Jahrringanalyse.

FRANK RINN received several awards for researching, inventing, developing, and establishing the RESISTOGRAPH® needle-resistance drilling and related methods for tree, timber, and tree-ring analysis/inspection.

State elite student promotion programme

Aufgrund der schon Ende 1986 erreichten Erfolge bei der Erforschung der Möglichkeiten zur Analyse der Holzstruktur für dendroklimatologische Studien mittels Bohrwiderstandsmessungen wurde FRANK RINN als einer der besten naturwissenschaftlichen Studenten des Landes Baden-Württemberg ausgezeichnet und in das Landes-Elite-Förderprogramm aufgenommen.

Because of the success of his early works on analyzing wood structure (for dendro-climatological and related research) with the help of drilling resistance measurements, FRANK RINN was selected as one of the best students of natural sciences of the state of Baden-Württemberg.

Research Innovation Award 1989

Die Stiftung zur Förderung der Innovation in Wissenschaft und Forschung, Düsseldorf, vergab jährlich i.d.R. zwei Förder-Preise an universitäre professorale Forscher bzw. deren Institutionen. Im Mai 1989 vergab die Stiftung erstmals zusätzlich einen Sonder-Förderpreis (10'000DM) an FRANK RINN persönlich für seine Forschung und Entwicklung zur Bohrwiderstandsmethode für die Untersuchung von Jahrringen sowie Bäumen und Hölzern.

Each year, the Foundation for the Advancement of Innovation in Science and Research, located in Düsseldorf/Germany, honores two (usually professoral University-) researchers with a donation to their institution. In May 1989, for the first time, an additional and exceptional prize (10'000DM) was awarded to FRANK RINN personally for his successfull scientific work on drilling resistance measurements for tree ring analysis as well as for tree and timber inspection.

Green Trade-Fair "GaLaBau" Innovation Award

Anlässlich der größten Fachmesse der grünen Branchen (GaLaBau, Nürnberg) erhielt die DERITEC GmbH (DEngler-RInn-TEchnik) eine Auszeichnung für die Vorstellung des von FRANK RINN entwickelten und patentierten DENSITOMAT 1410 Bohrwiderstandsmessgerätes.

DERITEC GmbH (DEngler-RInn-TEchnology) receives the innovation award of the biggest German Green Business Trade Show (GaLaBau, Nürnberg/Germany) for presenting DENSITOMAT 1410, the resistance drilling device developed and patented by FRANK RINN.

BaWü-Landes-Innovationsauszeichnung

BaWü-State Innovation Award

Für die Entwicklung sowie erfolgreiche Markteinführung und -etablierung der "RESISTOGRAPH®" - Bohrwiderstandsmethode zur Untersuchung von Jahrringen, Bäumen und Hölzern erhielt FRANK RINN 1997 eine Auszeichnung im Rahmen der Landes-Innovations-Preise durch den Wirtschaftsminister.

For the development and for having introduced and successfully established the RESISTOGRAPH® method on the market, FRANK RINN was given an innovation awarded as part of the State Innovation Awards of that year.

WJD-Bundes-Innovationsauspreis

Junior-Chamber-International Germany-Award

Die zu den Industrie- und Handels-Kammern gehörenden Wirtschaftsjunioren (WJD) zeichnen FRANK RINN mit dem Bundes-Innovationspreis aus für seine Erfindungen und Entwicklungen sowie für die erfolgreiche Markteinführung und -etablierung von RESISTOGRAPH®. Überreicht wird die Auszeichnung vom Bundes-Außenminister DR. KLAUS KINKEL in der Frankfurter Paulskirche. Das Preisgeld von 10'000DM wurde gespendet vom wahrscheinlich innovativsten Deutschen mit den meisten Patenten (ARTHUR FISCHER), der nicht nur den weitläufig bekannten FISCHER-DÜBEL, sondern auch das elektrische Blitzlicht und mehr als 1000 weitere Patente erfunden hat.

For his inventions, developments, and market introduction as well as for having successfully established RESISTOGRAPH®, the German Chapter of the Junior Chamber International Organization awarded the National Innovation Award 1998 to FRANK RINN. The award was handed over by the German Secretary of State, DR. KLAUS KINKEL in the historic Paulskirche, Frankfurt/Germany. The price of 10'000DM was donated by the most innovative German, ARTHUR FISCHER, who did not only invent the well-known anchor bolt but in addition the electric flash light (and far more than 1'000 other patents).

Weil die Bohrwiderstandsmessung nicht alle Aufgabenstellungen lösen kann, hat FRANK RINN in den 1990er Jahren eine schalltomographische Methode entwickelt und 1999 ein später auch international erteiltes Patent zur angemeldet. Schalltomographie und Bohrwiderstandsmessungen ergänzen sich in nahezu perfekter Weise gegenseitig.

Because drilling resistance cannot solve all questions of the users at trees and/or timber structures, FRANK RINN started developing a sonic tomographic in the 1990s and got it internationally patented in 1999. These two methods complement each other nearly perfect in many areas of application.

ISA - Western Chapter Research/Innovation Award

Für Erfindungen, Entwicklungen und erfolgreiche Markteinführung von technischen Diagnosemethoden zur Untersuchung von Bäumen erhält FRANK RINN die Innovations-Auszeichnung des Western Chapter der ISA (Internationale Baumpflege-Organisation).

For having invented, developed and established technical diagnostic methods for tree safety inspection and wood quality evaluation, FRANK RINN received an innovation award of the Western Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA).
